PHYSICAL THERAPY
UPT has a staff of 6 physical therapists, 4 physical therapist assistants, with degrees from USD, Creighton University, DesMoines University, Mayo School of Health Related Sciences, and Lake Area Vo-Tech.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy provides a means for individuals to return to activities which are meaningful to them following an injury, disease or condition, etc. Patients are directly involved in treatment planning and goal writing identifying personal needs and priorities. Taking an active part in a personalized treatment program fosters positive and functional outcomes allowing an individual to return to work, a game of golf, or daily life activities which may have become difficult for them. Our occupational therapist has graduated from University of North Dakota, and provides services to patients particularly in need of upper extremity therapy, to include custom splinting.

AQUA THERAPY
UPT's state of the art therapy pool offers our patients low impact exercise and training suited to their recovery. The heated pool features high powered water jets for multiple levels of resistance, varied depths for a variety of training procedures, and a hydraulic lift for easy entry into the pool. The pool area is designed for comfort with heated floor tile, and handicap accessible bathrooms and showers.

ERGONOMICS
We are all different, no two people or companies are alike. University Physical Therapy recognizes this and strives to individualize services to meet the needs of the individual, company or organization. Ergonomics is more than assisting in the design and organization of the workplace to fit the worker, it also focuses on prevention of injury and the health of the employees or individual. Services offered at UPT include Functional Capacity Assessment (using the KEY method), Job Placement Assessment, Job Analysis, Pre-Placement Post-Offer Screen, information presentations and direct therapy services following a work related injury. KEY FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENTS
UPT has 4 trained and certified assessment specialists, 3 from the physical therapy field and the other an occupational therapist. These assessments can empower you to assess objective and defensible data regarding an injured patient.

INDEPENDENCE AVENUE
University Physical Therapy offers a safe and realistic environment in which to relearn independent skills. Changes in the ability to safely engage in living and work environments is common following stroke, disease processes, brain injury, etc. UPT realizes the importance of returning to those activities which are meaningful and important to an individual.
